Fabulous Idea -- usually there
are fabric scraps left over from wedding dress alterations. They can be invaluable to save you money.
......I can transform the left over pieces of your wedding dress or other fabric scraps into wine bags
for gifts for your bridal party. A wonderful and useful keepsake idea: small wine bags can be made so that many can
be handed out as game prizes at your bridal shower.

This fabric is just gorgeous. It's a very pliable
satin. A blend of cobalt blue and a chocolate brown.
As the fabric moves or a different perspective is viewed the majority
of the color seen changes between the two colors.
The liner is silver. The rope/tie is brown.

This bag is fully lined with a soft cotton to protect the
bottle and absorb any possible condensation if you are giving a chilled wine. For the oceanic decor or for a more masculine idea of a gift, this is perfect.

Flowers can be added to this bag as in the versions
of the bags below. Sunflowers or black-eyed susans come to mind although I could also add the same flower (with the
gorgeous beaded center) to this bag.

Using
a gorgeous, heavy tapestry material this fully lined wine bag will hold the temperature of it's precious contents for at least
a few hours.

The ribbonwork flowers are spread across the front and surrounded
by a softly pleated ribbon, knotted stitches hold it into place. The flowers are golden malt, corn flower blue, honey, toast,
oatmeal and burgundy.

Chamborde wine bag. $75

This is the newest wine bag to the page. It is a Christmas gift
(for 2011) so I won't include any names for the moment.
Very often, I'm only given a little bit of information about what the customer
wants. This, as I say, is a gift. The recipient "likes pink." I'll add more details of the clues I've
used for the design....after Christmas. This little bag is the result. The wine bottle inside is a Chamborde; a short, stout bottle. The colors of the bag do match the wine color
itself. That can be a factor of choosing colors, if you wish.

The inside of the bag, is lined with a satin in a light grey.
The bag is linen in a light sage. The tie is the same material as the liner and it has tassels attached to the
ends. (See the photo to the left). The narrow, pink, silk
ribbon is attached with tiny stitches in burgundy. Only knowing that the recipient "likes pink"
I used a couple of different shades of the color to create this.

A dark forest green lace encircles the flowered area which
is backed by the light grey satin material (also used as the liner and tie). The little buds added to the bottom of the flower design are ceramic and wired which
maintains their dimension and adds yet another texture.
